THE PUPPIES
We feed Eukanuba Petite Breed Puppy Kibble and Eukanuba canned food.
The puppies are introduced to the canned food, which is Eukanuba Petite Breed Puppy Kibble, mixed with canned food, and prior to leaving us and going to you, we will eliminate the canned food from the diet during the final week before they go to their permanent homes. Kibble is important for the development of strong teeth; the chewing exercises the gums and stimulates the blood flow to the growing teeth. It's the same principle used with humans. Healthier gums and teeth promote good overall health!
We also supplement their daily food with Puppy Nutri-Cal, a vitamin/food supplement which reduces the possibility of hypoglycemia which can occur in poodles. We give this to them twice a day at the same time with their meals. We use this same procedure with the adults.
We will begin the crate training and also begin their housebreaking as much as possible. They will be accustomed to some sort of bladder/bowel control effort when they go home with you. We will begin their "social" training. We will use statistically proven methods to stimulate their little brains and muscles. We will attempt some collar and leash training, but I really prefer to leave that up to the new owners.
Happy and healthy dogs are what we want to produce! Keeping them that way is really up to you as the new owner. Please Please Please I implore you........do not buy a puppy if you do not intend to take care of it. If you find your circumstances change; you must take the higher path of responsibility and find the dog a home! There are too many dogs in kennels, homeless, or dying on the streets every single day for one more person to add one more dog to the list of casualties of uncontrolled breeding and irresponsible ownership. This is said, not to offend but, to appeal to your conscience.
My number #1 priority is to find the best homes for the dogs that I adopt out.
