OUR VETERINARIAN
Dr. Boyd Mills from the Durant Animal Hospital in Durant, Oklahoma, is our veterinarian. Dr. Mills inspects our animals regularly, and they have been approved for breeding purposes; satisfying each particular breed's standard and has cleared them for patellas and hips.
We are currently feeding Eukanuba Petite Breed Puppy Kibble to all our dogs. We do Advantage-Multi to our animals and have yearly shots and check-ups.
They are given Alkalinewater to drink and strictly kept to their eating schedules of morning and evening.
We also train our animals. There is no excuse for an animal that is "housebound" and "kennel crazy", the only remedy is the old saying that, "a tired dog is a good dog". Dogs need activities, exercise, and they need a sense of purpose for their lives, not unlike people. A dog's perceived purpose is to please YOU the PACK LEADER. How do you become the pack leader? You train, train, train. Humans never stop training their dogs, whether they realize it or not. Dogs are constantly and adjusting their behavior around us as humans so we are constantly adapting and reinforcing basic commands, off leash, in the home. All of our dogs are trained off leash.
Poodles and Rat Terriers are highly intelligent and if you don't work with them, they will find something to do, and it's usually something their humans would rather them not do!
